Become The Change Your Life Deserves.
Meet Sandra Wolter
Blending Tradition and Innovation: From Coffee Roots to Entrepreneurial Heights. Raised in a fifth-generation coffee business, and transitioning from a distinguished career in journalism, Sandra now excels as a specialty coffee entrepreneur, speaker and business mindset coach. Her rich heritage and varied experiences merge to offer a unique blend of insight and guidance, tailored specifically for empowering first time entrepreneurs over 40, as well as helping overwhelmed existing owners take back control over their business and life.
If you are a professional woman over 40, burnt out in a corporate dead end job, or you spent the last decades raising a family and are now looking to make a significant life change, here are good news: If you are ready to launch your own business, now is the time!
Half of all startups in the U.S. are founded by women, and according to a Harvard study, most successful founders have an average age of 40 when they start. Chances are, as a Gen X-er or late Millennial, you can bring a unique combination to the table: Resilience, an innovative mindset, leadership and management skills, sense of social responsibility and focus on community.
Yet, the transition into entrepreneurship or solo-preneurship is daring and an often overwhelming, sometimes even lonely, journey. You are quite literally on the path to yourself when you search for your purpose and set out to bring your inner vision to life for the world to see. This is why guidance and a solid foundation are keys to success.
Sandra's philosophy: Build yourself up on the inside before jumping into action. Everything in your world, including income and relationships, is a mirror of your beliefs, thoughts, and emotions. Allow inspired action to lead you onto a path that’s easy and effective, instead of pushing through with the aimless doing and suffering that are often celebrated today. Your life is an inside job first, congruency of thought, emotion and action is key. Sandra’s approach to coaching is to provide holistic business preparation. She teaches women how to navigate the big five:
Mindset: How to gain and maintain clarity of your purpose, set goals and stay focused.
Mental Balance: Replacing limiting thoughts and beliefs, and maintaining emotional stability.
Body: Taking care of your physical wellbeing.
Financial Literacy: How to plan for success and combine profit with purpose.
Substance: Your inner foundation and power source. Connect to who you are and act with awareness.
If you already own a business, but struggle with keeping up and taking it to a higher level, or are in need of a re-calibration of your goals and purpose, the same principles apply and can help you greatly to regain joy and create success.
Inspiring Female Founders with Innovative Leadership and Coffee Expertise
In 2013, a profound personal shift inspired Sandra to embark on a year of soul-searching, culminating in an inspired career change and the founding of Sweet Science Coffee in Washington, DC. Starting as a modest one-woman pop-up shop offering brewing classes in 2015, her venture has grown into a holistic enterprise with international reach. Today, Sweet Science Coffee delivers innovative products and services for health-conscious coffee lovers across the US.
Coffee Science: Supporting Mind And Body
Sandra explains, "Craft coffee isn't just about the caffeine boost—it's about health. We collaborate with herbalists and food scientists to blend coffee with superfoods like nootropic mushrooms and adaptogens, enhancing mental performance and wellbeing. Our holistic approach extends beyond products to incorporate daily rituals that foster mindfulness and present moment awareness. This way of life is also at the core of my coaching.
Inner Foundational Principles for Business Success
Sandra's own experiences and the coaching of clients' misconceptions have inspired her to write a book titled 'Substance: Build from Who You Are,' which outlines principles for laying a solid inner foundation for business and personal success. Developed from a decade of insights, the book is set to be released in September 2024.

“Sandra is a practical uplifter. She helped us streamline the process to our own business time- and cost effectively, but most of all, she helped us lay down a mental foundation to business ownership that serves us well every day."
Nancy D., Coaching Client
“Sandra talked about how owning a coffee place provided a first option for women in the 1600's to work in a safer environment than a tavern, and be their own boss. Female entrepreneurship was always about challenging outdated beliefs, very empowering."
