How do CoC Sessions work?
My 3 X 3 System is a light hearted practice that can yield powerful results. Contemplation keeps creating ripples when we are going about our day and often produces surprising insights when (and because) we least expect it.
It is all about bringing our focus into the body via our senses, and then using our awareness to gather data about our physical, emotional and mental state - all on neutral ground.
There is no need to dig decades deep into the past to dissect where a particular belief originated. But we do want to neutralize and reverse the symptoms we experience today. It’s like finally telling your long term house guests that they outstayed their welcome.
While sessions may vary based on the personal situation of the participant, here is a general overview.
We begin with craft to center us in the body. This is were Coffee comes in. It’s not mandatory, but it’s also not a gimmick just because I work in Coffee. The art of craft serves as an entry point to focus on the body via our senses. Coffee Rituals have a long tradition, as do Tea Ceremonies in Japan.
Introduction
This slot is used to sit together and sip our drinks in a safe space for you to tell me about your main challenge before we begin the contemplation.
Step 1 - Reveal
You spend three minutes examining your current structure: Physical / Emotional and Mental.
I give feedback, and together we determine your most dominant challenge. In this step I show you a way to disentangle your emotions from your thoughts so we can create inner space between you and the “culprit”. Think of this as data collection.
Step 2 - Neutralize
In step two we contemplate the true nature of your challenge from an outside perspective. Then we create polarity with humor and a storytelling exercise. In the end of this step, you get to decide whether to discard your old fear, or transmute it into something that can actually help you.
Step 3 - Recharge
In the final step we invite your challenge to transmute into something that can help you move forward. You will see that your limitations can’t hold you hostage once you learn how to befriend change and turn it into opportunity to serve others and yourself by getting your message across.
The system is called 3 X 3 because 3 minutes of exploration are followed by three minutes of contemplation in three steps.
Each session is 60 - 90 mins. in length and can take place online via Zoom, or in person in either the DFW or DMV areas. The cost per session is $250. It is not possible to tell how fast a person will experience a breakthrough in their particular situation, but it’s common that an immediate sense of clarity and relief is experienced during and after the session, with deeper insights in the following days and weeks. The steps learned during the session can be used alone for further practice at home. I am able to offer pointers and practical business advice for founders or existing owners in combination with a session, if desired.
Important: I am not a clinical psychiatrist or other medical professional. Contemplation should not replace medical advice. These sessions are based on my personal experiences and lessons learned and are not intended to treat or diagnose any illness

SELF HELP for beginners: Books, podcasts, seminars and online courses are a viable way to test the waters when you are just beginning to explore your options. You know that you want a change (eventually), but you don’t yet know how serious you are or what direction to take at all. You might be fed up with your current job, feel burnt out, undervalued, overlooked, or depressed.
It sounds counter intuitive, but that doesn’t mean you are ready to quit right this hot minute. Being your own boss requires inner strength, balance and clarity, and it’s very hard to find that in self employment if you start out from a place of painful emotions that cloud your judgment and allow limiting beliefs and thoughts to mislead you when you make vital decisions for your business that cost you money and time.
SELF HELP for existing owners: If you are already in the middle of solo- or entrepreneurship and balancing daily demands with a clear head and peaceful mind becomes more and more of a challenge, deliberately setting some time aside and turning to books and podcasts that offer first aid and advice can definitely help to clear your inner vision. If you are still in a stage where you feel like you can turn the ship around this is a good start. If you are too far down the rabbit hole to see any light at the end of the tunnel, it might be time to consider professional one on one help.
In Essence:
Self help materials that build a foundation of inner strength and awareness are a good investment as they can help you cope with your current situation and, in the case of beginners, use that paycheck to your advantage because it buys you time to lay your foundation until you make your move.

MENTORSHIP is a way to get guidance and practical advice from people who have been where you want to go (or close to it, as you are unique, and so is your path). When you already know what you want to do, have a solid understanding of your field, the time to do research and leg work, and need someone to point you in the most helpful directions, choosing a mentor is recommended.
They won’t hold your hand, nor dedicate huge amounts of time, but if you are clear on what pointers you need most, a mentor is a cost effective resource. A good one will also tell you honestly when they think they cannot assist you, but they might make introductions or recommend networking groups if they are familiar with your area and line of work.
In Essence:
Because mentorship is usually unpaid and done out of goodwill, you might have to do some digging to find one with current experience in your field, since some industries change fast and you want to get advice from someone who has not been out of the game for too long.

COACHING is the fast track to your new life when you are clear about your purpose. Consider a coach when you have the absolute knowing that you must make a change, but you don’t have all the answers.
In fact, having the right mindset but not too many pre-conceived notions often creates the most beneficial outcomes because you have no expectations that put you into a mental box.
Working with a coach is a partnership. A good one, just like a mentor, will honestly tell you if the two of you are not a fit, because coaching is intense work, and it gets frustrating for everyone if you don’t connect, but is exhilarating when you do.
For coaching to be effective, you need to be ready to make a firm commitment to yourself. A coach will hold you accountable for doing the work, they will do it with you, but never for you.
Some coaches work with partners that are experts in a related field, such as financial literacy, to provide maximum value. And they should be able to make helpful connections.
A coaching program is tailored to your situation and designed to get you to your goal in a specific timeframe. Coaching can either double down on one main aspect of development, or combine different aspects of business building to provide a cohesive roadmap, from the inner work that makes you an effective decision maker, to outer long term security.
In Essence:
Coaching is an all in situation, starting with the planning (or evaluation of an existing business), leading through the process of building or transforming, and ending with recaps, and adjustments down the line, commonly at the three, six and twelve month mark after transitioning (or after re-calibration).
Of all options, coaching is the biggest financial investment in your future, and the biggest challenge to your outdated convictions and limiting beliefs, since you have to be willing to change your perspective in order to change your life. But ultimately, coaching also offers the greatest return on investment, since what you learn and take with you pays off in multiple ways for the rest of your career.
